Mountains in Shimane prefecture -

Hey all,
I'm travelling to Hiroshima for a bit over Christmas and New Years, but I want to see some good mountain scenery. Where is the best place for this in either Hiroshima or Shimane prefecture? Or is there is something really special in the rest of Chugoku that is worth considering? Thanks for any suggestions :>
