Quiet accomodation near Kyoto - with snow

Hi guys,

I'm going back to Japan at the beginning of February, and this will be my first time in the Osaka region (previous trips were to Tokyo area).

My goal this time around is simply to chill out and take in the scenery, and I would like to stay in an area that is known for snow. From what I understand, the centre of Kyoto doesn't get much snowfall.

Does anyone have suggestions for a ryokan or even a hotel that might fit this description? It doesn't have to be Kyoto, I am interested in anything suitable within a 2 hour radius from Osaka.

I am also tentatively planning to visit Hiroshima - perhaps there is somewhere suitable in that area instead?
