Okinawa??

Hi , am new to this forum and read so many helpful tips from the members!
and so here's my plan, and hope you all and help me plan out the details:
we're hoping to visit Okinawa in Feb for 5-6 days with 2 young children because this island seems so different from the rest of the country.
Anything we MUST go in the short time that we have there?
Is it a good time to go? does it rain a lot around that time?
Besides all the big name hotels/resorts, where else can i find nice accommodations?

There will be not much rain during this time but it will maybe not be hot enough to swim in the Ocean, otherwise this time should be fine.

Because you have kids i´d definetly recommend the Aquarium in the northern part of Okinawa Iland. Rent a car to get there, so you can stop on the way if you see a nice beach or something.
The war Memorial Museum is really good, but not with the children (depends on the age though)

I think that you shouldn't forget to visit Shurijou (Shiri castle) there since it is really dazziling and famous! (only if you have plans to sighsee in Naha-shi/the city of Naha)
The Okinawan archipelago is the paradise of Japan! I wish you a nice trip
