Question Purchasing Tickets in Tokyo - 03-04-2010, 03:07 AM

Hello~

I am heading to Tokyo at the end of the month (20 days!), and I am having hard time figuring out how to purchase tickets for several events/attractions.
I was wondering if any one might have any experience with such tasks.
(are things even the way they are here in North america when it comes to buying things for events in advance?)

I would like to hit up a concert at the Zepp Tokyo.

Likewise, I'd also love to check out the International anime fair. However, I would need to be more aquinted with the less-than-english-friendly Lawson Ticket website.

any and all tips are welcome and appriciated <3

Thanks ^^

"International anime fair"
Just go to Lawson after arrival.Maybe no fear of sold out.

"a concert at the Zepp Tokyo"
Did you check the right side of the page? "Eventer info"
There are links.Check the page. They tell you how to purchase and reserve
tickets in JAPANESE.

Usually,You can buy concert tickets at convenience stores.
Of course ,there is a fear of "sold out".How to reserve? You must registar with Ticket websites.Unfortunately they are in japanese like Lawson ticket.
If you can reserve, you can usually receive ticket at convenience stores.
Asking your friend who can understand Japanese to reserve is a reliable means.

Yes go to Lawsons, they have a little red machine where you purchase your tickets, then you take the receipt and give it to the cashier and they will give you your tickets.

As the other person stated, chances of tickets selling out are very high here, so best get to it quickly.

sorry poor English

"東京国際アニメフェア2010前売券
販売期間:2010年1月30日(土)~3月26日(金)
★マーク:実券販売
●ローソンチケット
(Lコード=31111/問い合わせ先:0570-000-777(オペレーター対応10:00~20:00))
※ローソンチケットでは、3/27、3/28に当日券を販売いたします"

The salesclerk will understand it immediately if you print an upper Japanese sentence.
Is the concert to watch in Tokyo a thing of which artist?
You had better examine the stock of the ticket and a code number earlier.

Yes, I did check out "Eventer Info". It brings me here, but as it's in Japanese for the majority, I'm horribly puzzled. </3

Is "Lawson Tickets" much like the Canadian/American Ticket Master?
Again, as you pointed out, the site is in Japanese.
Is this the method to which you were refering to purchasing tickets in convience stores, the Loppi Machine?

Unfortunately, I habe no one in Japan that I am visiting or can contact ahead of time to reserve the tickets or assist with the purchase, aside from, of course, the tellers or staff who may be near the machines.

Is there a location finder for these Loppi Machines some where? >_<; I can still just try and wing it xD

So to recap:
-There's no real way to 'reserve' the tickets, unless I have contacts in Japan already.
-All websites listed so far are Japanese-only.

No Lawsons is not like ticket master,
it's a convenience store like 7-11.

Looks like this

And they all have machines where you can buy different kinds of tickets for pretty much every event. You can actually see the machine in picture, it's near the window, usually next to a photocopier.

There is also an actual ticket store on Takeshita Street in Harajuku,
Which is the main street you see when you exit the station.

Thanks so much. xD
I was totally thinking "Lawson" Was a ticket-master type company. Thanks for clarifying. <3

If that's the case, they should be fairly easy to stop.

That helped a whole lot. ^^
