Do i need a letter of notarization?

I am 19 and live with parents. i'm also a senior in higschool. Do I need a letter of notarization? letter of notarization is consent from a caregiver to leave the country (i guess its to keep kidnapping type things from happening). i think i shouldn't need one because if i were say 30 and still living with parents then i definately wouldn't need a letter of notarization.lol.

If you're over the age of majority then no, you wouldn't need one.

It doesn't matter who you live with. If you are a legal adult in your country then you are free to go where you like. How would the Immigration officials know that you live with your parents?

But 19 is a minor in Japan. No drinking or smoking, certainly. No rental cars. I don't see how it would affect your entry into the country or your ability to stay at hotels...
