Photos of Japan - 08-30-2010, 03:42 PM

Thought I'd share a few photos from when I was in Japan.

Sadly I'm not sure of the name of the above mountain; it was somewhere in Mie-ken, I think.

Cherry blossoms at Yawatashi in Kyoto.

Rainy season at the Heian Jinja, Kyoto.

Summer in Arashiyama, W. Kyoto.

I do believe it is! I guess there must have been a view point or a shrine at the top or something.

A few more then, for autumn

View from Kiyomizudera, Kyoto. You can play spot-the-pagoda with this one.

In and around Kyoto.

My Japanese friend was -convinced- it was fake, until it flew off.

These were taken Nov. 2007 when we had an unusually cold snap and the leaves changed really quickly, so they were exceptionally red. This isn't edited at all, I just happened to be there when the sunlight really hit the leaves on this tree and made them light up!

Obligatory picture of Nara deer.

And this was in someone's garden. Jealous! We ran into a pair of maiko shortly after I took this, but we were fairly sure they were fake ones :/
