A image translation iphone app for foreigner tourists

We're researchers from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan.

We're developing an crowdsourcing based Mobile Image Translation tool for foreigner tourists who has no Japanese skills. Basically you take a picture with mobile phone and ask question about the image in English, a community of local volunteers will answer your question in real time. To some extend you can also consider it is a kind of yahoo!answer, but better mobility support and much faster response time.

We plan to conduct a closed beta test for our prototype system in early next year and we're looking for testers now. If you're interesting in participating and having a try of the free application, please send us an e-mail, we will get back to you with further detailed information.

You will need an iPhone, and the application requires Internet access.

The test will start from later January or early February and lasts for couple of weeks, so we assume you will visit Japan during that period.
