Going to Japan in summer for 2 months

Me and my friends are going to Japan at the end of June or at the beginning of July.
We are leaving from Toronto to Tokyo and I wonder if any Canadians are going to Japan for next summer so we can be travelling buddies :D
Oh btw, does anyone know if there is like a train pass that i can purchase it to travel every trains in Japan?
because my friend who went to Japan showed it to me. I think it was a Suica. I'm not sure.

JAPAN RAIL PASS / ジャパンレールパス

Keep in mind the Japan Rail Pass is only for Japan Rail (JR) trains.

Suica is a rechargable smart card and is usable on almost all trains, but is simply a convenience, and isn't a discount.

JR do different passes for different areas too.

There are also various day passes for JR trains, private subways, private trainlines, busses or any imaginable combination of the above.

check out
JAPAN RAIL PASS / ジャパンレールパス
and the various JR group links for the areas you will be in.

The more research you do the more you will save.
Transportation in Japan

is a good place to start.

I mostly researched and it looks like JR pass is available for almost all JR lines, and JR bus. As for a subway pass, I should have PASMO, that's the touch pass for subways in Tokyo, and I should have Suica as well just in case.
And to go to Tokyo from the airport, Narita Express serves well.
