I wanna save money, for various reasons, but its hard. I tried using three different aiports. (Fresno- my hometown, and San Fransisco and Los Angeles...San Fransisco was cheapest.)

If I am missing anything to help save more money, please let me know. I know going in July is usually more expensive anyways, which is why I chose end of the month. (Also, I cannot change date. I NEED to be in Hita-shi, Oitaken around this time.)

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Kayak seems to be the way to go. I'm looking for a flight during October/November from SFO and the price is ~1,000$ after tax which isn't so bad. However, you're flying at more of a peak time than I will be so, good luck.

A good option I'm looking into is buying miles from someone off of Craigslist for a discount rate. However, I'm not sure how lucrative it is since I haven't actually done that but it's an option I'm looking into personally.

If everyone cared and nobody cried,
If everyone loved and nobody lied,
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride,
Then we'd see the day when nobody died.
