UK to Japan June/July Time
 

Hello to all this is my first post! What a great forum you have!

I Live in the U.K
Me and my friend would like to travel to Japan and spend 3-4 weeks there in June or July time (we are both pretty flexible as to when we depart the UK). We are not fussy travellers.

My questions/requirements/problems are:
1) Can anyone suggest a cheaper Airline / Flight cost other than the ones I have found, the cheapest I could find was around £950(British pound) with 2 outbound stops (33 Hours outbound) using www.expedia.co.uk
2) We do not mind how many times the flight stops if this will help lower the cost of the flight.
3) We were aiming to just get a flight out there and find accommodation when we arrive, we do not mind where we stay - we will only be using where we stay for sleeping.
4) We would like to see a multi cultured view of Japan and would like to explore the country.
5) We would like to spend the majority of our trip in Tokyo.
6) We will both be on a budget and like to keep costs to a minimal. Any tips for this would be great.

I would say good luck on trying to find cheaper flights, they are really expensive no matter where you look really..
They ideally would like you to have already booked your return flight due to immigration etc, you may want to look into this a bit though
My advice would definately be to save for this trip as just going there and not being able to do everything you want to could be quite frustrating...
I hope you don't think I am squashing your ideas I am just giving my opinion

i agree that is the rainy season.. maybe late july to august would be better.. although that would be summer hell :D

and then you step out of the airport and feel already all sweaty :P

well, I was planning to use British Airways for my flight... you could book it online (ba.com).... choose your dates and everything, it should be less than £600 (you said you are very flexible, so just coose the dates the flights cost less) [in case you'd start your flight in Germany, which I do, it's even cheaper... i'll pay about £450, i think]

try KLM ROYAL DUTCH AIRLINES, last time i planned to go to tokyo, this was the cheapest i found. and i think they still are the cheapest around.
they usually will do one exchange in the netherlands,
usualy costs about £500

I'll be going June 19th till July 3rd. Yay for rainy season! XD My flight cost $1286. I'll leave here then land in Detroit, MI. then off for Japan.

A friend of mine went two years ago from July to August. She said it was tourture; the humidity was so bad.

i have a flight booked july 26th, coming back on august 27th, and that cost about £945 with british airways, direct (from heathrow to tokyo). when i looked into it there was cheaper flights at about £600, but they had changes. look on lastminute.com or travelsupermarket.com they were both really good when i was looking :)

My wife and I just purchased tickets to Japan for $2,410 (which is two tickets round trip). We will be leaving the US on May 26 and returning on June 5.

With which airline do you fly, when you start from Germany?
I'm from Germany and I don't want to fly with the cheapest one, but also not with the most expensive one <<
I think around 800-1000 Euro is ok >_<
