If I want to go from Kyoto Station to Gojo (subway) station, what is the best way to get there? I assume going from Gojo to Kyoto Station will be the same route as well.

Most of your rail travel questions can be answered there. Just plug in the stations you want to travel from/to and the date and time of departure/arrival and the website crunches all the info to give you all the options available, based on your discriminating criteria.

It seems it takes 2 minutes on the Kyoto City Subway Karasuma Line, assuming you want the Gojo in Kyoto.

For the one in Nara, it takes 105 minutes on 3 separate lines....
