Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal - 11-26-2011, 03:58 PM

I've been searching for tours in Japan and all of the tours depart from Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal.
Where is Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal located?
Are there taxis around Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal?

I don't have a facebook.

It is right in front of the south exit of the JR Hamamatsu-cho Station. You can't miss it.

Catching a cab is never a problem in Tokyo. Pick your favorite color. j/k

Just be prepared to shell out tons of yen.... Cabs there aren't cheap! 710 yen just to get in for the first 2 kilometers and then 100 yen for every 500 meters.... Expect to pay about 30% more than that after 10pm too!

Haha yeah i know! Its ridiculous. Twice as much as New York.
I don't want to because I know its a rip off, but my dad wants to. I guess he's too old for such adventures on trains.
Have you ever taken a cab there?

I've taken cabs in Misawa, when I drank too much after a long work shift. The fare was a flat 600 yen from the main gate of the airbase to my dormitory. That was 24 years ago and the exchange rate was 153 yen to the dollar....

I have not taken a cab there since....

Wow, prices have really changed since then..
You have been going to Japan for twenty four years?
I envy people like you.
What is your occupation by the way?

I wish! I was sent to Japan in 1987-1989 as part of the US Air Force. I was in intelligence gathering there. Then there was a Japan drought until March 2005 when I went again, as a tourist. The third time I was there was October 2010 and I am headed back there March 2012 and hopefully October 2013....

And yes, the exchange rate was from 150s to 130s to a dollar. It was heaven! But in the 70s it was more like 300 to a dollar. Unfortunately, we'll never see that again! In March 2005 it was about 100:1 and Oct. 2010 it was about 85:1.... I doubt we'll be seeing 100:1 anymore....

Thats still a good amount of times to visit there. When I graduate, I'll be going every year.
So, going there over a period of time, did you learn to speak Japanese by communicating?
