Dear japanforum users,
I will be travalleling to Japan very soon and my Japanese is A) Very basic & B) Very Textbook.... I was wondering if anyone would be ever so kind as translating everyday phrases for me for when I'm in Japan. I guess you would have to be very patient because I have a lot of phrases that I would like to be able to say. I'm not thinking about textbook expressions like "The monkey in the Park is charming & brown" 'cos let's face it, this is Never going to be useful, unless I go to the Zoo.... What I need is everyday phrases like :- I want to open a bank account, could you write down the procedures in romanji for me please, or I would like to buy a cell phone; what are the tariff-can you show me please, or even if I go to the hairdresser:- how much it is for cost for an hair cut, and I only want 1inch taken off please.... You know, really useful stuff... I can return the favour if you want to learn English/French as I was raised using both languages, Do not hesitate to contact me should you be interested on this link or :- julietetrault@hotmail.com Thank you so much/Arigato gozaimasu ![]() |

I know a few basic phrases!
Ashikarazu - I don't mean to be impolite Genki desu ka ? - How are you? Genki desu - I am fine Genki o dasu - Cheer up Hajimemashite - Nice to meet you Domo Arigato - Thank you very much Do Itashimashite - You welcome (This may be wrong.) But you seem to be educated in Japanese, so my phrases you might already know. I'm not sure how to ask for directions though. Maybe you should ask Kuroneko, Nyororin, or Samokan! ^_^ "~MoVE AS SwIfT As A WInD My Deviant Art PageStaY As StEaDY As FoReST AtTaCK aS FiErCE AS FiRE UnMoVabLE DeFeNsE LiKE A MoUnTaIN~" |
