Swimming in Wakayama in November? - 04-04-2014, 05:05 PM

I will be in Japan this november. I am planning to visit the area about Tokyo and Osaka. I'm thinking also of staying few days in Wakayama City because I see there is a beatuiful scenery and palm trees which I adore.

I've got a question: will it be possible to swim around Wakayama City in november? I see there are many beaches there and the temperature of water and the temperature of air is quite good so I would love to feel the Pacific's water on me

Thank you in advance for your replies.

There are many beaches in Wakayama. However, recommended swiming season ends August. There will be no service in November for swiming.

I checked these sites (in Japanese). Ask hotels or whatever you are going to stay for details.

If I get it correct, there is no reason to think that it will be forbidden to swim in November in Wakayama, am I right?

In Japan, there will be food shops, shower rooms and locker for clothes are served most of the beaches (not free) in the beach season (July to August). Also life guard are ready to work.

Other then the season, you can swim but these services are not provided. For this reason you might be checked by police or other officials. I'm not sure who will check you in Wakayama. Please ask local people.
