Is Hiroshima a place to visit.

I m travveling with 2friends to Japan in november.
We are in doubt if we should visit Hiroshima.
Is it a nice place to visit? We are already going to tokyo, kyoto, kagoshima and osaka. So maybe it a little bit to much to also visit Hiroshima.
We like to hear your thoughts about it.
Thank you.

I don't know too much about Hiroshima itself but next to Hiroshima there is the famous torii which is perceived as one of the three most beautiful places in Japan.

You can read more about the place here: Itsukushima - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You don't need to visit Hiroshima if you doubt.

Do you know that Hiroshima was once destroyed by the atomic bomb?

If you know it and doubt whether Hiroshima is worth visiting, you don't need to visit Hiroshima.

And if you don't know it, follow the links below.

Hiroshima is a popular place to visit, the atomic bomb museum is worth seeing, and there is some award-winning architecture to enjoy as well. If your train or bus is passing through or nearby Hiroshima, you should definitely stop and have a look.

I agree with Sangetsu-san.

There are many paper cranes near the atomic bomb museum.
If you know about those cranes, you're the best candidate to visit there.
If you don't like wars, atomic bombs, you had better go there.
The museum simply tells the awful and catastrophic effect of the bomb, and what actually happened at that time in 1945 in Hiroshima.

I think you had better visit there, unless you're against the world peace.
Japan is the only one country, that had the experience of two atomic bombs.

(If you already visited the museum in Nagasaki, they are more or less the same thing though.)
