If you arn't asian, they will stare at you regardless of whether you are black, caucasian, hispanic, or purple. They are used to seeing the same thing everyday, so when a foreigner walks by you will get alot of stares.

I got stared at alot. I would simply smile and lower my head; either they did the same, or just kept staring.

I just got back from Japan, and I saw black people, and others. Japanese people are usually very polite to foreigners. Anywhere you go you may encounter racists.

Anyway... on the original topic. As far as I can tell, my friends who are black have not experienced treatment much different from me (white), except that the children want to touch their hair a bit more than mine. (but then again, this is only the experiences of 2 people.)
