Itinerary 16 days - 3 Routes - Osaka to Tokyo - 03-09-2017, 06:56 PM

Hello,

My wife and I are traveling to Japan, mid May, for the first time. We don’t plan to rent a car. We have three itineraries and don’t know if they would work or which one would be best. We will have 16 nights and arriving in Osaka and departure from Tokyo.

Route 1
Osaka – 2 Nights (Himeji day trip)
Kyoto – 5 nights (Nara / Aoi Matsuri / Kyomizudera / Tenryu-ji / Nenbutsu-ji / Kinkaku-ji / Nishiki Market / Mount Koya)
Kanazawa – 1 Night (City and Gokayama / Shirakawa-go)
Takayama – 1 Night (City and only see Kamikochi)
Okuhida – 1 Night (Jigokudani Monkey Park)
Yamanoushi – 1 Night (Taragawa Onsen / Nikko)
Tokyo – 3 Nights
Hakone – 1 Night (City – Fuji photos and Fujiyoshi Onsen)
Tokyo – 1 Night

Route 2
Osaka – 2 Nights (Himeji day trip)
Kyoto – 5 nights (Nara / Aoi Matsuri / Kyomizudera / Tenryu-ji / Nenbutsu-ji / Kinkaku-ji / Nishiki Market / Mount Koya)
Nakatsugawa – 1 Night (Magone / Tsumago)
Hakone – 1 Night (Fujiyoshi onsen)
Yamanouchi – 1 Night (Jigokudani Monkey Park)
???? – 1 Night (Taragawa Onsen)
Tokyo – 5 Nights (Day trip to Nikko and Kamogawa Oyama Senmaida)

Route 3
Osaka – 2 Nights (Himeji day trip)
Kyoto – 5 nights (Nara / Aoi Matsuri / Kyomizudera / Tenryu-ji / Nenbutsu-ji / Kinkaku-ji / Nishiki Market / Mount Koya)
Kanazawa – 1 Night (City and Gokayama / Shirakawa-go)
Takayama – 1 Night (City and only see Kamikochi)
Okuhida – 1 Night (Kawaguchiko – Fuji Pictures)
Hakone – 1 Night (Fujioshi onsen)
Tokyo – 1 Night
???? – 1 Night (Nikko / Taragawa onsen)
Tokyo – 3 Nights

Hi..

You have mentioned nice places to visit in your post. Have you decided which one to take? Since it has been a month since you last postes..

Anyway. When deciding, its best to take into account the distance of these places and the mode of transport you will use to get there..
