Airline services

Hey people.was wondering if anyone could tell me whether is it possible to do a pre-booking of air flights to japan.I am not 100% sure if we are going to go Japan but its more or less decided that we will but with the peak season coming(not sure if i could get a flight to japan last min).Is there anyway i could do a advance booking & hold on paying first until my friend comfirms whether he can make it or not.if there is ,whats the maximum duration allowed ,Do i get any penaltys for this ?(such as extra costs) & lastly is there any budget airlines u could point me to?I am from Singapore(if that helps in anyway)
Thanks in advance:D

You can catch a last minute plane but it'll cost loads more than what you probably have in mind (or maybe not, since Singapore -assuming that's where you're leaving from) is not all that far from Japan. As for booking an airline ticket not being 100% sure you're gonna be able to get on that plane... I wouldn't do it, though you can always resell it (the airline company itself makes sure it is resold) but you'll still lose money. As for the low cost flights... I know some European ones but I don't think that'd help much xD

Have fun on your trip!! :D

yes booking/reservation can be cancelled, but depending upon where you booked, the cancellation fee and duration varies. check out your local travel agent for that information.
