What is the image that comes to your mind when you think of Japan? curious about your answers...

What do I think of when I image Japan?
Well the moment I read this thread, I imagined a temple/shrine in the middle of an ancient, tall-treed forest. With other old monuments and statues. ^_^ |
WHEN I THINK OF JAPAN, FIRST I THINK OF LOTS OF COLORFULL LIGHTS IN THE CITY AT NIGHT, THEN CHERRY BLOSSOMS AND ALSO SHRINES.:vsign:

When I think of Japan I see Mt. Fuji, cherry blossoms, temples and shrines nestled in beautiful forests, the lights of Tokyo at night, and large crowds of people going about their everyday lives.

To tell you the truth when I think of Japan, I actually see the future..

When I think of Japan, I think of Tokyo with tall buildings and neon lights and a whole bunch of people. [Makes me feel a bit claustrophobic.] I also think of anime, people in harajuku and visual kei outfits, and Asian girls with super hot hair on cell phones. I also think of cherry blossoms, chop sticks and sushi and I seriously do think of those cool little square Asian plates they have. I love those things! I wish I had some, but I don't. XP
Yeah, I don't think of shrines and temples and ancient Japanese stuff that much like I should. I think of a more modern day Japan than an ancient Japan. |
i see my friends that i miss very much, my skate spot near lake biwa, my apartment building where i lived and this one person i will never forget.

I usually think of big green forests just beyond a sea of urban sprawl, and then Kanji ^_^ .

i think of Onsens in the snow, Monkeys w00T! (dont feed them they will attack you and steal your wallet) Umm, Nightclubs, fashion, Technology (Go Gundam VR and 0080 arcade card game!), Food (o god yes), Sakura (amazing) random chickies comin up and askin for my denwa bango! lol! and Akihabara. And weird messed up porn....(balloon and feet porn wtf?)

Shrine, Gadgets, Anime, Cosplay, Polite people bowing... thats my image of japan as I can picture it in the back of my mind..

i imagine kimonos and sakura blossoms and watching all different types of anime. reading manga and eating ramen...but i also imagine what it would be like if i really went. me being all confused cus i dont know enough japanese and wat i do know i dont remember O_o

I think of the intenseness that is Tokyo (prob. because that's the only place I've been to in Japan). Also izakayas, politeness as godwine said, well-dressed females and technology.

Whenever I think of japan I think of maid cafe's , Anime , cherry blossoms, temples and shrines , Rice and Curry , Sushi , chop sticks , and the sexy japanese... ;P

I see me having a job in Okinawa, sitting at my new desk, pictures of my wife and kids on the desk, listening to music as I work, driving home in my K-car and arriving at my 4 bedroom house, and saying Tadima![spell?]
Or, the beach, anytime I think of the beach its on Okinawa, or Miyako-jima where there are NO SOUNDS but the ocean. I'd want to die in my sleep with sand between my ties and the sound of the waves. Hewa! :vsign: |
I see Tokyo when someone mentions Japan...I think it's because it was like the first image I ever saw of the country years ago so it kind of stuck in my mind :)

I think of Sakura no Ki and get a comfy feeling :D

I instantly think of the bustling intersections in big cities like Tokyo where tons of people are crossing the streets. XD
