Oh, that sucks. Maybe sometimes in life, it is better to go by unnoticed.

I was walking through the streets of Yokohama ages ago when I approached a small alley. Thinking that it was just a pedestrian alleyway, I continued forward when I nearly got run over by a TINY car! The driver understandably yelled out, "Bakayaro!" as he sped off as I watched in disbelief.

The concept of Keijidosha's (the smallest vehicle class in Japan) was new to me and I figured there was just no way a car could fit in such a small alleyway. I'd probably have difficulty riding my bicycle in something so narrow!

I didn't know enough Japanese to explain that I was allergic to fish, so my host mother kept giving my fish in my lunch bento. I kept having to throw it away and buying food in the cafeteria. One day, I forgot to throw away the food at school and threw it away at home, but then it spilled out of the trash and all over the floor. She didn't say anything, but I could tell she was so insulted. It was so frustrating, and I felt terrible and embarrassed.
