Lol, i being practicing drawing manga for a while now, and that is the basic for DRAWING. You need to learn inking, shading, paneling, screen toning, and a lot techniques. I don't even considerate myself good enough. Maybe in 2 years i'll be where i want to be.

Here is the best tip for people wanting to be a manga-ka, the most important part is the STORY.

I'd love to be a manga artist, though it's a shame i'm terrible at drawing other than small doodles on my math homework :P

You say the story is the most important part, and I would have to agree And I'm actually a decent fiction writer though I've never tried writing a manga, that will be fun :] I can just use stick figures until I find a decent artist XD

i plan on making a manga-ka team w/ my oldersister. we have been practicing how to draw since grammer school (that is waaay too long) and we also have 3 concrete stories(and rather long let me just add, one of those 3 has 2 other parts) we want to make.
the only thing preventing us from doing it is us.
we are Lazy. =____=
u need alot of determination to do this sort of work.

Yeah, though that counts for basically everything except sleeping.

A Manga artist is my current dream. People says that I'm very good at drawing. I've been practicing for 4 years.

I'm sorta doubting my dream a bit, since being a manga artist isn't as fun and easy like what people think.

But it's okay. I accept that challenge, since like they say, no pain no gain. There is no job that is easy-going. If there is then you're must be slacking off from work or something.

(Difference between the two:

Manga Artist: Traditional black, white, and grey lines and tones are strictly used.

Comics Artist: Uses colors in their cartoon/anime which is mostly found in news paper.)

@ Topic: I can draw manga too.
