need help with plate id please
 
hello i am looking for help in identifying a plate i have had for some time?

any help would be great it has some embossed letters? on the bottom and it looks as if it is made of brass,it is heavy!

Hi. I am a professional ceramic artist, and have spent a bunch of time in Japan. I've a few somewhat significant accomlishments over there and am a bit familiar with Japanese pottery. If you put up an image of the frontside, I might be able to give you some info. I only read Hirigana and Katakana.... and a few Kanji, so no help with translation.

Hi,let me read that kanji.
人明宜徳年製 or 火明宜徳年製
The last word mean product.others are....well, I don't know.
I guess its chinese(taiwanese) or korean.:ywave:

it is 大明 宜徳 年製. and it means it was made in China (Min era) 1426 to 1435.
