I have some lacquer items I need assist with.
first; What was this set of items used for and named?

second; This round box is larger than many others I have encountered before. The smaller ones appear to be incense containers. At 6 1/2" dia and 3" ht this container is several times bigger. What would it have been used for and named?

I hope this post has found the correct forum section and if not would appreciate directions to a more proper position.

I am not an expert on lacquered goods but it looks to me that you have a set of 漆器 (lacquer ware) for 酒 、or simply booze, in Japanese 酒器セット. 3 flat dishes, turned upside down are for drinking sake. The rounded box is a mystery. Maybe for pickles? They use such things on New Year's and so on.
