Hands and Hair? (Anime) - 01-12-2010, 01:18 AM

I know most people struggle in this part of manga drawing . . Does anybody have possible advice on this?

For hands (as well as everything else) practice helps. When you look at hands try and picture the basic designs that create them like squares and triangles. When i started i used reference pictures then started drawing them by myself. they sucked but i got better. use these to practice from.

You can always search for tutorials on deviantart! If you type in "hand tutorial" or "hair tutorial" into the search bar, you'll get a lot of great resources and tutorials!

you can use your own hands as models and try to sketch them out..
imo is better to start off this way.

I'd have to agree with the deviantart search suggestion. Or Draw Your Own Manga: Beyond the Basics by Haruno Nagatomo has some good tips.
