Japanese Christian art - 04-04-2010, 06:48 AM

I was just curious if there was a source anywhere that I could look for Japanese style Christian religious art, or is it not very common?

There is a painting by a French man named Alexandre Cabanel, titled "Eve after the Fall."

I don't know if anyone else is familiar with this painting, but I was wondering if there was a piece of Japanese artwork that was similar. Of Eve in the garden of Eden.

This might be too much to ask on the forum here, but I thought I might give it a shot.

Well a lot of renaissance art was inspired by Japanese styles.
