Wizards of Ink

I am starting the whole new series of articles entitled "Wizards of Ink", where I intend to talk about the famous calligraphers, both Chinese and Japanese ones. I will discuss there not only their masterpieces, but also their lives, personalities, or even some amusing anecdotes that surround them. The first one is about the Jin dynasty calligrapher, Wang Xizhi, a true wizard of ink indeed.

Appreciate it! Yes, this article is a part 1 on Wang Xizhi, there will be at least 2 more. Then I will move on to other calligraphers. It is a huge project that eventually may turn into a book, same as my series of posts on the etymology of Chinese characters.

Is it going to be that big project?

I think I will be interested in calligraphy some day.

We will see how it goes, I have many projects ongoing, so it may take some time to accomplish.
