Early Metalwork Okimono Dragon Pre-Edo?? - 11-29-2011, 04:21 PM

Hello everyone,
just joined this great forum! Well I just inherited this fine little metalwork okimono dragon. Hes 3 1/2" tall and the eyes appear to be inlaid with horn. I am told it is very old. Would anyone have any idea of its age or worth? And does the absence of the dark patina on most of the piece mean that it was polished at some point? Any info would be so gratly appreciated!
All the best-Michael
