What kind of plants are depicted on her kimono and what is their meaning?

It seems like HYOUTAN:Lagenaria siceraria var. gourda

It usually means wealth or having may children.

Many thanks!
Do you also know which kind of trees are in the background?

RadioKid 08-26-2017 02:05 PM

It is very difficult to find what kind of tree they are.

It is not wild forest but planted tree. It is neither pine nor ceder.

I'm not sure but I think it is (Japanese) cypress blown in the wind.

By the way, the model of the picture is "KASAMORI, OSEN" a waitress of a tea house "MIZU-CHAYA".
