101Tokyo - new Contemporary Art Fair in Japan

A new contemporary art fair has been announced for Tokyo in 2008:

101Tokyo will be the first truly International Contemporary art fair in Tokyo featuring the very best up-and-coming galleries, and artists from Japan and all over the world. These selected galleries will show well-curated exhibitions, showing new works by their young, emerging contemporary artists. This will be an entirely new platform for galleries, curators, collectors, artists and art enthusiasts to come together and experience this exciting and innovating time in Tokyo’s contemporary art scene.

The 101Tokyo contemporary art fair will be held April 4-6, 2008 in the Akihabara area of Tokyo, during the same time as the existing Art Fair Tokyo.
