Like woah. Help? - 02-29-2008, 01:58 PM

I could really use some help guys!

In my fashion class we are doing a project on the history of fashion.

My partner and I are doing a presentation on 19th Century Japan.

If you could spare some pictures or any information it would be greatly appreciated!

Like, for example, the sash worn around the kimono...I heard different colors, and different ways of tying it represent different things. Could someone elaborate on that maybe? Google isn't helping much

And anything else you know would be great!

Thanks again.

because we're in the modern day and age where all the yung-uns live on their computers, and the big-uns live in their cars...or offices >.>
and where books have become nothing more than a torture device imposed by superiors upon their subordinates for their own sadistic pleasures <.<"
oh...and because we're all fat and lazy snobs =D
and authors these days...and days past still can't properly publish accurate material regarding foreign cultures =DD

I looooove books, id go crazy if i didnt have books.
I hate television, its absolute crap- i dont like the spoon-feed format of tv.

I just dont think losing books as a society is going to be a good thing.

i mean, don't get me wrong xD
books are fun. wonderful to read. contain great wealths of information that would otherwise be quite difficult to obtain, provides a sophisticated look to almost any room...and just the perfect thing to chuck, with great versatility in terms of size, weight, and value, at that annoying little brat of a younger sibling of yours that just won't stop pestering you >.>"

oh and yeah =DD tv pwns! ...i mean...seriously...who doesn't love the discovery channel...science..history.. food network and all those other delectably informative stations??? ._.''
i'd go darn nutty w/o a bit of taboo every now and then >.> lol

YES I TOTALLY LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE "PLANET EARTH"

My husband bought me the ocean set when i was sick a couple weeks ago and ive probably watched all 5 disks twice by now. im addicted. ive always loved documentaries about the oceans but the cinematography and quality on those videos are friggen amazing.

Yay!

Tv though doesnt really work for me, i think its the format. i get distracted and feel unproductive just sitting there.

Yeah Im a total Jacque Cousteau (sp) nerd, I grew up watching that stuff. Have always looooved the water and everything in it. Have been snorkling in a couple oceans and seen some incredible stuff.

I think its ocean blue, that sounds right- i honestly cant remember. its in our dvd player right now lol actually. cuz i watched the deep sea doc' again last night...i really want to get a tattoo of a deep sea fish. maybe an angler or a vampire fish, something interesting like that. hehe

yep im lame.
