Lolita questions help me :( - 01-12-2008, 09:28 AM

I have some questionssssssssssss
When buying a lolita skirt/dress can u use the same pettie coat over and over?
also when u buy a pettie coat does the pettie coat have to be from the same place u got the dress/skirt?or can u just buy it from any where and it will work?
can u wear Pettipants with gothic lolita dresses?or does it look better with gothic lolita skirts?or does it depend on the style?
also has anyone ever brought a skirt/dress from
Cosmates - Japanese Costumes & Gothic Lolita Dresses Store -
or
Elegant Gothic Lolita Clothing and Accessories
If so how did it turn out?did it look good or shitty and poorly made?
also if u can post a picture of u wearing it thanks

Hmmm... - 01-18-2008, 01:17 PM

I'm guessing that if the petticoat is seperate you can re-use it with a different skirt/dress....
As for does it have to be the same brand? I don't know, I just use whatever I want from whichever stores tbh.
And depends on the style of the pettipant or the skirt/dress. But I think most of them would look okay with either.
Unfortunatly I haven't brought anything from those two websites so i can't help you there.

Yes. in my experience petticoats are separate, you can even make one pretty easily.

Ive never heard of pettipants, that sounds adorable!

Nope, there's no rule about products having to be from the same brand ~ ! Although, in Japan, brand loyalty among Lolitas is pretty strong. But you can get a skirt or a petticoat from anywhere you want, as long as it looks good ~ !

Avoid cosmates and bodyline like the plague, that's my best advice to you.

Those two aren't Lolita brands, they're cosplay Lolita brands, BIG difference.

The best site for cheap and GOOD QUALITY Lolita clothes is annahousefashion.com

The prices are in Hong Kong dollars, not U.S. and they're actually super cheap! Just use a currency converter like xe.com to convert into whatever currency you want. Anna House also ships internationally so happy shopping : )

Hmm, recently Bodyline has actually gotten some nice clothes, believe it or not. I'm ordering from them through Celga. But you shouldn't plunge into the landslide of cheap lace before you can tell good and bad quality apart, I agree.

Curtsy while thinking about what to say, it saves time.

Yes, I've noticed the magical change in Bodyline as well XD !

But I think annahouse is still best for beginners because pretty much everything it makes is good quality : )
