[quote=Drend;469583]Not full cosplay, but we were just going on a walk of the town, so we didn't want to get all dressed up since the Sasuke's pants were white and the Urahara's costume was hard to keep on xD.

And yes, our Urahara wore 3-D glasses the WHOLE time lol.

that's epic...eventhough it's not commplete..it's still great.

where to purchase cosplay costume - 04-30-2008, 10:53 PM

I am a first timer on this forum

I went to sign up at cosplay.com, but no one could recommend me a place in the US that can make a cosplay costume.
plus the response by e-mail was very slow

I know that in the US, you have to make your own costume.

but I do not know how to make my own cosplay costume including what fabric to use

I am a boy & I am wondering if anyone out there that can best recommend a store in Japan or in the US plus website that can make any crossplay anime costume at a reasonable price

I am looking for a Sailor Moon costume & Cardcaptor Sakura red battle costume to wear at upcoming ACEN 2009.

one more thing
is there an official website for cosplay ettiquite
any tips/tricks/helpful suggestions for first time single crossplayer at an anime convention?

yeah, Americans in general don't seem to get as into cosplay for some reason, even though it is fun...

as for etiquette rules i can only think of one...don't copy Man-Faye...

I would try e-bay or something like that...there's websites for companies that specialize in cosplay...I can't remember any right now tho...um...let me get back to you on that. I'm planning on making an Aeirth outfit (FF7) sometime before Halloween.

tried e-bay - 05-02-2008, 01:53 PM

I while back I did look at e-bay, but (no offense) they are made & shipped from China

besides I am worried about bootlegged materials
& those are rip offs including from e-bay

cosplaying in the US is in its starting stage & they seem to take it too seriously with very strict rules

leaving the rest of us not having fun or enjoying

(those who make their own cosplay costume either are expert dressmaker
or whose family members work in theatre, movie or tv)

in the US the only time to cosplay is one day on Halloween period or have a 3-4 yrs old play dress up in preschool so long as they look cute.

my wish is to go to Tokyo Akiba ward & cosplay as either Sailor Moon or Cardcaptor Sakura

I read in a recent Shojo book 2008, about 100 yen = $1.00

I don't see how Americans can't get into cosplay. IT'S FREAKIN HILARIOUS!! (sakari, remember the 'mall incident?)

Same here. I was thinking of cosplaying L from Deathnote, but my mom cut my hair shorter... NOW I CAN'T ANYMORE...that is until it grows back....
