Unhappy Emo's ruining Visual Kei?? - 12-03-2008, 07:07 PM

It's sad how today in America, if you wear VK styled clothing, you are considered emo/goth. For some, this may not be that big of a problem. But who else here besides me think that the emo's are ruining the VK style in America?

*cough* I hate being called emo

I don't really think the styles look alike... maybe that's just me. But I can completely understand that other people will say that stereotype to VK. I suppose they haven't been introduced to the VK style so they say think it's a style they are more familiar with.

Hmm.. understand what I'm saying? I have a million things to say to this but I can't put it into sentences XD

Who gives a damn what other people tag you as? If you like the clothes then wear them, their ignorance is their problem.

Well said. However, I still do believe that people here in the U.S. commonly mistake VK styles with emos. I don't understand how...there are very few similarities...maybe the hair is the most obvious. I think someone stated this before but, VK hasn't really been introduced in this country, so obviously the common person is going to be ignorant about the matter and not be able to tell the difference between the two.

Deal with it. If you can't wear a clothing style as vibrant and "unique" as visual kei and get bothered by what people around you say about it then you shouldn't be wearing it, simple.
