A question about amarican girls and kimonos. - 12-30-2008, 06:52 PM

I was wondering if Japanese people as a culture have issue with Americans wearing kimonos, cause I love how they look and want to make one... Sorry if this is the wrong section.

I don't see why they would, some of the kimonos I have seen are really stunning, and I see no reason why a non-japanese couldn't to wear them.

Making one though, what a challenge! I'd love to see the finished thing.

Put up a photo of you wearing it when you finish. And don't mind Grumpy up there.

Heh, sure.
And I don't really see whats wrong with wearing a kimono even though I'm not Japanese. Just saying.

Kimonos are incredibly easy to make compared to other clothes. Kariginu are even easier....

(I have a thing for kariginu... Too bad almost no one knows what they are.)
