Hey im new. I love love lovoovoeoeoeoeoveeee Decora. I told my parents of how badly i want to dress like the many beautifull decora clad ladies out there but they said "youll look like a f---ing freak, there all freaks, freaks freaks freaks" i dont know what to do. i loovee decora and want to do it but they wont let me they dont like it at all

Yea. My dad calls my Convention a Freak Fest.... I just shrug it off and enjoy MY life.

ugh. same story here. i LOVE decora but my parents HATE it too. They say that they look like crazy people that put on everything in their closets. It gets me angry but i just ignore it and wear decora whenever i want to anyways. i know their like your parents and stuff but if you like it, they shouldnt stop you from wearing it.

Respect your parents and don't wear decora if they don't want you to. I'm sure you can find other clothes that your parents would approve of. Wear whatever you want once you move out.

What do you expect from your parents? And everyone will say the same thing, everyone who is not fond of decora which is probably the majority. Personally, I think decora is freaky and I don't like it.

My mom thinks cosplay and everything is childish but I still wear my Lolita/Harajuku clothes. Just shrug it off. It's what you enjoy, don't let anyone take that away. And what's wrong with being a 'freak'? I know I am and I'm damn proud of it.

Thats the kind of mentality that has people live with their parents longer than the intended.

If you like Decora then say MOM DAD IF YOU REALLY LOVE ME YOU'LL ACCEPT WHO I AM ON THE INSIDE AND SUPPORT ME!

I'd be an understanding parent if my children don't like anime, But I will introduce it to them early on in life.
