I need to find the perfect dress....

Hi Im Britt and i am 14 going on 15 in July,
and i need to find a dress for that event.
So far i have heard that Japan and China have great dresses like this one.
It is the type of dress that i want but my mom told me that i should keep looking and i want to find the perfect dress, if you can help me out that will be great.

That would be a wedding dress, probably costing over several 100 notes. Why would you want to wear a wedding dress to your 15th birthday?! Its not even a milestone birthday?

its supposed to be a formal bday party,
a masquerade you know like a ball.
and in Mexico its a big deal, for your daughter to have a quinceanera it celebrate's you of becoming a women or something, its like a wedding.
But i want the dress in blood red since my mom doesnt want it to be a gothic party like i want it.

so i just need to find a dress but that was the only color it came in and it will look really out of place.
the dress i found it on ebay and it was the only one i liked, it was only $189.99 dollars with free shiping worldwide but i want it red, blood red.

You`ll have better luck finding one within a decent price range outside of Japan - trust me. That style of dress will be over US$1000, no matter how hard you look. Japan is not an inexpensive place to find clothing.

You would probably actually have the best luck finding a seamstress to make one for you. Even with cost of materials and labor, it will still be lower than buying from Japan. Plus you get the bonus of it being in your size and made out of exactly what you want.

Actually the picture of that dress you posted is AMAZING, where did you find it? It is a wedding dress though.

If you want a 'blood red' dress then the gothic stores is probably the place to go. I check gothic shops a lot so if I find something then I'll post it up here.

My prom dress was £160 but it was worth it. If I was ever to get married I'd pay anything for the right dress [I'm like that xD]

If you've already tried Ebay, you could try Yahoo Japan auctions English website here:

The Japanese version of Yahoo auctions has a lot more items, but it's harder to use if you don't read Japanese:

Search for "ドレス" (dress) in the auction search engine for some results.

Or, you can try Rakuten:

You can also search for dress (ドレス) on Rakuten.

If you want to buy something from Yahoo Japanese auctions or Rakuten, there are many companies who will buy it for you and ship it to the US - but you do have to pay them a fee for the service. Here is an example of one such service for shopping at Japanese websites:

This is a pic of a dress i found on ebay for 36 dollars. i buy them every once in a while to sell and there nice. but hte black gothic lookin one is pretty nice too

thats a very nice dress but its not the type of quiceanera dress that is allowed here it has to look like a wedding dress.
but i love the top part of the dress.
