Uniqlo all the way... it is the quintessential Japanese clothing brand. You'll find their stores pretty much everywhere (even in Tokyo Station).

Seriously, most Japanese people don't care for Japanese labels, the prefer European and America stuff. Most of my co-workers seem to favor Paul Smith at the moment (which costs about 40% more here than in America or Europe).

If you want something Japanese, you're better off with an accessory, something from Porter, or Takeo Kikuchi.

Uniqlo is pretty good. Muji is a less expensive, basic, clothing-and-more store, which is also everywhere. In Tokyo, there are just so many (clothing) stores. Shinjuku has a lot of hip clothingstores/malls, also Shibuya I believe.

Thanks. I'll definitely checkout Muji, Uniqlo and accessories from Porter or Takeo Kikuchi.

How about second-hand/used clothes/shoes store? And also bargain stores?

In Korea there are alot of locally made men suits, jackets and tshirts that are not mainstream labels, which you can find them in bargain stores. I would like to checkout the same in Japan.
