I am studying Japanese fashion for a class and I need to know the main types of fashion, so I can look them up

Are we talking Japanese haute couture designers like Issey Miyaki or Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garcons? Or are we talking about unique street culture fashions like Decora or Visual Kei?

Check out the "New Tribe" section on the above link.

FASHION JAPAN

Keep in mind that some of the major fashion trends (like gyaru and Lolita) all have very specific sub-categories with their own rules for being called X,Y or Z. Once you find a style label, best to then Google search it for further descriptions and breakdowns.

its fascinating to see these "Fashions" It seems that anything goes with anything no matter about the colour.

Are japanese women pigeon toed or is the way they stand the correct way to model the clothes.

Are most of these like COSPLAY? so many make the girls look like dolls? Is that the idea do you think?
