a few products you guys could check out are UNO and Gatsby(they make styling gel/clay/etc and hairspray). I think they're only sold in asia (correct me if im wrong) but they're a god send.

My hair is a little difficult to spike since i have abnormal asian hair, meaning mine is wavey/curly :<, but with a little (seroiusly a little) uno and spraying that sucker i've managed hairstyles like Reitas below. And gatsby hairspray is pretty heat/sweat resistant, i walked out in the blazing sun in the streets of taiwan and my hair still stood up.

and just in general i tend to think if you want sweat resistant hair products, go for asian brands. simply because its extreemly hot in asian countries and walking is a main form of transportation so walking + sun + people who want cool hair= companies making some hardcore stuff xD

I have a miyavi style hairstyle. Similar to this one.

Just not as long at the back.

I use hairspray and it holds my hair really well. Sometimes I use wax or modelling creame it all depends on how i want it to look. But they all seem to work well.

The picture you posted of yourself is kinda fuzzy.
But i can still see the hair ^^ .

On the styling i think you should straighten you hair with a straightener first then style with hair wax or spray, wichever you have.
Leave the front [fringe and side bit] normal-ish then tug out locks of hair to spike it from the back.

Just suggesting ^^. I hope it helps.

I wear my hair in a J-rock fashion. If I use anything, I usualy use sprays, though I have used gell once or twice.

I think part of it is how you get it cut. Even when I don't "do" my hair, it still looks J-rock (I've been told that from the right angle, I could almost pass off as Asian...It's probably the hair)

Well if your hair is dark then you probably
do look like an asian [from that angle].
Especially if you have a JRock cut. ^^

It's naturaly dark brown, but I dye it different colors, (Right now, it's black with chunks of red which faded into an orange-ish color.), which is also quite J-rock.

I have done a Jrock hair to many friends.
First, cut must be right. Many layers are applied, especially from back if it is wanted to be "spikey".

Then, the styling is done depending of hair.
If it is short, uses powder wax, trendline wax and hairspray then just style with fingers.
Asianhair, should stay well with wax and hairspray. Of course a thing like it, is differen by person.

If it is longer, depended of style wanted can use many different styles.
To make special effect, other hairproducts is used. Such like iron, glitter and glue.
