Your favorite Japanese Snacks and Deserts? - 08-11-2008, 01:30 AM

I'm looking for ideas for something to make this summer for a celebration as I start highschool with a few friends. Can you guys give me your favorite snacks and deserts along with recipes for them if possible?

Manju! Here's a recipe, though I don't know if it's exactly what you are looking for, there are some other good recipes on that site too. The choco man are good. <3

My favourite Japanese sweet is daifuku, which are glutinous rice cakes filled with anko (red bean jam). Click here for the recipe; you may have to make the anko first, which may take a long time, but trust me, it's worth it.

make some o-dango!! they are easy to make and keep in the fridge for a while. here's a video on how to make them:

YouTube - How to Make Skewered Tofu Dango (Japanese Sweet Dumplings)

if that doesn't help, use this recipe:

If my Japanese confuses you, if you don't undestand, you are always free to correct my grammar.
