Oh, I'm lazy so I just buy the packege kind.

There is a lot you can do with the packaged kind. Trust me. But than it wouldn't be common food and it'd have more of a western taste to it.

edit: Just reread the threads first post and yea...pocky would be every day quick and simple if you had it...ah well..still...you can do lots with packaged ramen

Pocky isn't the most common thing here, unless you have any way to make home made pockey, I don't think I'm going to gave any for a while.

tonkatsu, curry rice, and syoga yaki are fairly easy along with chahan which has already been mentioned
