Finally, the Green Tea Coke!!
 

Coca Cola Japan will be selling a green tea-flavored Coke starting June 8, 2009, according to Yahoo Japan News.

I will be reporting back as soon as I've tasted it. I love my country for always creating new things. ;)

Coca Cola is in business, hope not as all those healthy Japanese teas in the drink machines were a really pleasant and healthy quencher.

Why has Coke suddenly started making all these other flavors?

Eyy?? Coca Cola Plus Green Tea already exists in other countries... Hardly a Japanese creation!

I now add basil and parmesan cheese to my beer for extra flavor...

lol... I don't know how bear tastes with or without your extra ingrediants... I'll wait for someone else to be disgusted. lol

Unfortunately there is no way I will touch the stuff. "no calorie" means "filled with strange artificial sweeteners that are probably worse for you than sugar"...

I`ll pass. If I want no calorie green tea - I`ll buy green tea. Or sprinkle some maccha in regular coke or something. Fake sweeteners honestly make me incredibly ill, surely they can`t be good for you...

You should see some of the crap, my University buddies eat...hahaha

My curiosity is tingling but im with Nyororin on this one. There is probably all types of weird other chemicals in it. But damn would it be fun to try just once.

So they made a green tea flavoured Coke, big deal. When they'll make some chilli pepper flavoured Coke, THEN it'll be something to talk about.

This tastes interesting. It's close to Diet Coke. The tea flavor is there, but I kinda had to look for it on my first sip. After the first sip, though, you recognize it more clearly. Yes, it even gives you a light green tea aftertaste. Older people who were reluctant to drink Coke might find it easier to drink.

I think Coca Cola is serious about this new product. It's nothing like the Pepsi Ice Cucumber from a couple of years ago, which was totally a marketing/advertisement gimmick by Pepsi Japan.

You're the only person who has said that so far. What countries are they?

I feel like going out and purchasing one now x_x

Well thats coming from a non soda drinker >_> the two shouldnt be combined in my opinion...

obviously, they want their poducts to fit with every country's culture and habit.
