Wow someone who wants to try Natto... After reading about it and seeing pictures of it. Im not interested in trying it.

Been there, done that. Japanese people think I can't stand the smell.

Nope, it's that I don't eat things with the texture of slime. I'm not on an episode of Double-Dare, thanks.

I also don't eat fish that still have eyes. I'm sorry, but I'd rather not look at food that is looking back at me.

It can be messy and stringy. But it is far removed from the texture of slime, though it looks like it would be extremely slimey. Its is sticky - sticky like cobwebs when you accidentally disturb one. At least once it is mixed with rice the strings are less of a problem.
