Seriously? Like, "as-is", without dressing?

Go get a kebab to find out how shredded paper crap is best served

The other day I tried to make thousand island (ketchup, relish, and mayo, for those of you who hadn't figured that out yet), but I have to report that the differences between American ketchup and mayo and Japanese ketchup and mayo extend into the dressing-creation area as well, and their use in such a way is HIGHLY inadvisable.
1000 island dressing is not made the way you describe unless you are poor, under 20 and American.
You can get litre bottles of pre made 1000 ID at many cheap stores for about 500 yen.

Ketchup (if thats how you like to spell it) and Mayo vary alot over here but you can find some very good (but cheap) versions.

The hardest thing to get here are burger buns...

Yeah, whatever Alton Brown.

As a chef I know that thousand island is made commonly using mayo, ketchup, tabasco or hot sauce, and diced/chopped pickles, peppers, olives, and onions. I also know another way to make it involves yogurt, oil, lemon juice, tomato sauce, salt, sugar, black pepper, chopped onion, jalapeno, and green olives, relish, and mustard powder.

Thousand island IS made the way I describe by many, many people, tastes great, and, most importantly is inexpensive and easy. Why don't you just take a road trip across most of the western world and tell everyone how wrong they are, smart guy.

That IS how I like to spell it. That's how a huge proportion of we native English speakers like to spell it. Problem?
So... what.

"Catsup". I think it's spelled that way in Europe. It's also the OLD American way of spelling it.

Really? I have never seen that, even in Europe and I've travelled a bit. At least, not that I remember seeing.

Salad is very bland which is why I pour hot sauce and lemon juice on mine to spice it up a bit, it also tastes good with natural yogurt and mint sauce mixed in, well for me anyway !

You're missing the point. This is just another one of the hate threads that the OP is known for.

You only get 2- or 3-bite-size cabbage in a tonkatsu bento. No one prepares sauce or lemon to eat it with. Besides, the bento always comes with tonkatsu sauce, some of which you can pour on the cabbage.
