You know...you can always add less of the packet of flavoring to reduce the sodium content, and in order for it to still taste good just reduce the amount of water you put in it. In fact, I don't use any water at all.

Of course it wouldn't work for the ones who have it already mixed in but..eh just trying to be helpful. heh

That reduction technique works, especially if you are at home and can doctor it with your own spices. But at work I don't have options - just a convenient microwave and plenty of water.

Absolutely doesn't compare with fresh ramen, but ya gets what ya can get.

Some are very delicious.

Nissin HK's Crab flavor is very delicious.

But you should try Nissin Chinken Ramen once......

"Just to know how the first instant noodle taste!"

I love Pot Noodles. My favourite's are the Beef & Tomato, Sweet & Spicy (although I can't seem to find that one any more) & the Original Curry. They are amazing as a quick snack, & I seem to have got into the nack of slurping them. lol. In the UK, we have Super Noodles too. Its much the same, except prepared in a saucepan, as opposed to the packaging, as with the Pot Noodle. I like the barbecue beef & Mild curry Super noodles.

lucky for me one of my best friends family business is a chinese, and since his house is my second home I get my fair fill in lots of nice chinese cuisine which involves noodles xD sometimes

I'm not one to buy instant noodles, I'd rather buy noodles seperatly and then prepare the veg/meat/soup depending on how I feel (or whats in the house)

Having said that though I do buy a pot noodle once every two months or so at band practice just because its handy and ya need a fill when ya skip breakfast

I am looking at a pack of Sapporo Ichiban Miso flavored noodles right now.

This little package claims to be THREE servings...I know people that eat two or three packages at a time.

So this package has 48% of daily recommended saturated fat and 84% of daily recommended sodium (almost 2000mg of sodium in one pack)

So don't eat instant noodles for the health benefits, please...
What does sodium do to your body? Cuz i eat 2 to 3 packages or instant ramen at once.

It's salt. Basically a persistent excess of salt in your diet on a regular basis can lead to any of the following:

high blood pressure and hypertension
water and fluid loss
swelling
nausea and vomiting
abdominal cramps
palpitations
difficulty breating
heart failure
angina
enlargement of the heart
higher risk of clogged arteries
(reportedly) higher risks of stomach cancer
higher risks of strokes
anxiety or insomnia
kidney damage in infants

You shouldn't be eating more than 6g of salt a day, and even less for children.

and to get back on topic; personally i don't like instant noodles. I don't mind dried plain soba or something as that's not really worse than pasta, but the cheap kind that comes in a cup with a sachet of flavor? Just blegh....
