Shabu Shabu - 10-31-2009, 12:34 PM

does anyone know where i can buy Nabe pots for shabu shabu in the UK? Or could i buy direct from Japan. I am looking to buy several for a restaurant of the rustic earthenware or stoneware types preferaby with the wooden stand and lid and also the cooker for underneath.....thanks!

You don't really need nabe. I tried making shabu shabu on a different pot and it worked quite well. Make sure that it doesn't cool fast.

Wow! I have always dreamed of eating in a shabu shabu restaurant someday. I love it when I see it on t.v. I feel like when you're in that kind of set-up, you have that big appetite. I wish we have one here in our place because definitely, I will check that out.
