As far as I know I wouldn't cook it... I think that it might be safe eat it at a restaurant. Basically I don't know but i do know its not cooked just warmed up.

yes you do cook unagi..

the one I saw on tv, was that they cut the Unagi in half, debone it, spread some sauce and then grill it.

Ive only eaten it at a sushi bar. they said it was still raw after they cook it for a bit, but i didnt know there where more ways to eat it.... Oh yeah the sauce I like that stuff :D

yes, there are lots of ways to cook it. Ive eaten unagi even before coming to japan, my father used to cook it, still cooking if I go home, but the recipe is a bit different. Until now I could not get it right :D .
