Moving squid tentacles - 03-09-2011, 08:14 PM

I meant freshly caught squid, chopped up in front of you, and then dipped in Soy sauce. Apparently due to the ions in soy sauce, it makes the nerves in the tentacle squirm as you eat it.

Saw it on channel 5 turning japanese.

Would you try it? (I REALLLY want to, cuz i'm a sucker for sea food)

Sadly, can't find a video.

I saw this and it majorly grossed me out! Couldn't do it... it's just some sort of western principle in me that finds stuff like that repulsive.

(PS yay Yinnie! x)

The only squid I'd eat is a dry one.

There is a link to the video on Asia's Finest in the Chinese chat. It has sparked a brief, but lively discussion about eating not the freshly prepped, but live baby octopus.

Regardless, I don't care what it is, I do not want my food moving on it's own accord or looking back at me. Don't like live food or jello either one.
