Meiji Chelsea Candy Radioactive?

I love Meiji Chelsea Butterscotch candy and get it frequently in NYC. Since the earthquake, I'm wondering if it's manufactured near the reactor. Does anyone know? Thanks.

Don't know but food etc from the region is all being tested and will not be sold even if it is harmless. So take deep breaths.. calm down, if you can still buy your candy, i am sure it is fine.

The factory where the Chelsea candy is made is far away from the stricken area.:)

You go and buy it, go outside, wait to get dark, unwrap it. If it glows in the dark, it's made inside reactor nb. 3 and you shouldn't eat it.

Do you really think it would be sold anywhere, let alone internationally, if it were? I mean... really?

Thanks for the replies, especially the one about the location of the manufacturing plant.

And yes I do believe radioactive candy could be sold as commerce trumps consumer safety pretty often.
