Tempura.......Its simple and easy!!! Even someone who can not cook can make it!
Ingredients----------------------------- Any seafood: raw shrimp, prawns (shelled) , fish fillets , raw scallops......ect Veggie: sweet potatoes, yam, carrots, mushroom ,onion, green papper, asparagus....ect Please cut into bite size pieces Directions-------------------------------- I normally buy the tempura batter mix from supermarket or you can use all purpose flour Combines and mix 1 1/4 batter mix with 3/4 cup cold water....its better to contain some small lumps...do not overmix it! Pour at leat 2 inches of oil and heat oil to 375F, deep frying.....it takes about 2 mins for seafood and one min for veggie Dipping sauce------------------------------- 2T soy sauce and 2T mirin (or sherry) 2Twater . heat until hot...I normally just use mircowave for 20 secs Be careful of heat and enjoy it! BTW..I found one website if you are interested in Japanese snacks or other Japanese products: << Asian online shop market >> ....I like the Japanese Pocky!! Try it!! ![]() |
